The importance of that experience is why we are a proud independent affiliate of Brownell Travel, a Virtuoso member. Founded in 1887, Brownell is the oldest and most prestigious agency in the United States.
We understand how precious your time is and what your discerning taste requires. We honor both by learning about the personal motivations inspiring your travel desires first. The work we do with our trusted partners in designing incredible, memorable vacations is completely informed and built around what matters to you most.
Solas (pronounced Sul-us) is the Irish word for “light” or “searchlight”. It’s an equal nod to our founder’s Irish heritage and the way in which the company will expertly guide you along your meaningful travels.
Whether it’s a honeymoon tour of Tuscany seeped with culinary delights, family adventure to New Zealand or a relaxing multi-generational jaunt on the Kohala Coast, we’re here to light the way along your journey.
Our relationships with destinations around the globe have been highly curated with your experience in mind.
Seeking out these new opportunities allows us to make meaningful connections with other cultures and nature itself, which is something I believe is critically important now in our dynamic global community.
Away from work, I approach each day with the intention of cultivating new experiences for my own young family. My upbringing in Virginia was rich with travel adventures both big and small, and my life now on the West Coast provides us with amazing possibilities on a daily basis.
Over the years I have traversed across America, become a super fan of Hawaiian islands, studied in Florence, Italy, honeymooned in Tuscany and on Amalfi Coast, explored France, Spain, much of the Caribbean Islands, fell in love with snorkeling and diving in Cozumel as a child and then fell more in love with the rest of Mexico later in life. Currently, I have the Okvango Delta on my "Next Up" list and hope to share the beauty of that sacred space with my animal-whispering young daughter.
My mom will happily recall the itineraries written in pencil on lined paper that I would dispense before any family trip. So it’s safe to say I've been delighted by the details since day one.
What was driving me then is the same today: I love taking care of people. I believe proper hospitality is an art, and the only way to master it is to get to know my clients and truly understand their personal stories and priorities. This I learned early in my career working in film publicity at 20th Century Fox, and perfected in my time as a luxury weddings & events planner with an international clientele. My work “love language” puts logistics at the forefront, and digging into them is how I ensure all of my clients are presented with the kind of acute details that define a one-of-a-kind experience.
What was also evident in my early scrawlings is the excitement I had knowing that we were about to make new, lasting memories together as a family.
